Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how GetCall ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application ("App").
Information We Collect
We collect the minimal information necessary to provide the service. How a recording is handled depends on its type:
- Voice notes (on-device): Voice notes you record are stored locally on your device. Their audio is sent to OpenAI only when you tap to transcribe that note, so OpenAI can return the text transcript. Otherwise, voice-note audio is not uploaded.
- Call recordings (conference bridge): When you record a call, the call is connected through a telephony conference bridge (Twilio) and the resulting recording is created and stored on our server (api.getcall.online). You can retrieve and play back your call recordings from the App. These recordings remain on our server until you delete them. If you transcribe a call recording, its audio is also sent to OpenAI to generate the transcript.
- Anonymous analytics: Aggregated, anonymous usage data (feature usage) collected via our self-hosted Supersky analytics to improve the App. It is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
- Subscription & purchase data: Processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not store payment details.
How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve App functionality.
- To diagnose crashes and resolve technical issues.
- To process subscriptions and verify entitlements.
Data Sharing & Processors
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising. We rely on the following third-party processors strictly for the purposes stated below:
- Twilio — provides the telephony conference bridge used to connect and record calls. Call recordings are created and stored on our own server (api.getcall.online) and are retrievable by you until you delete them.
- OpenAI — speech-to-text transcription of a recording when you choose to transcribe it (the audio is processed only to return the text).
- Supersky Analytics — self-hosted, anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (no cross-app tracking).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notifications only.
- Superwall — paywall management.
- Apple App Store — subscription management.
Permissions
- Microphone: Required to record voice notes and call audio.
- Face ID: Optional, used only to lock the App so your recordings stay private.
- Notifications: Optional, to keep you informed about the App.
Your Rights
You can delete any recording at any time from within the App. Deleting a call recording also removes it from our server; deleting a voice note removes it from your device. Uninstalling the App removes the data stored locally on your device. To request deletion of any remaining server-side call recordings, email us at support@getcall.online. Our analytics are anonymous and are not used for cross-app tracking, so no App Tracking Transparency permission is requested.
Children's Privacy
GetCall is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
